Materialen

Camel wool, pure linen, natural latex and cashmere. Wherever possible, we choose natural materials, and where we use foam, we make it from plant-based raw materials as much as possible.

Camel wool

Camel wool

The warmest layer of our finest mattresses. Camel wool is light, soft and keeps you warm without making you stuffy.

Origin
The fine undercoat of the Bactrian camel. The animals naturally shed their thick winter coats in spring; this wool is collected, cleaned, and carded.

What it does
Insulates well, absorbs body moisture and releases it again. This keeps the bed dry and comfortably warm in winter.

Where you will find it
The warm side of the Atelier H35, Atelier H24 and Charme.

Care
Air out regularly. The cover is removable and can be dry-cleaned.

Pure linen

Pure linen

The cool side. Linen feels fresh on warm nights and is one of the strongest natural fibers.

Origin
Made from the stalks of the flax plant, a crop that requires little water and is also grown in Europe.

What it does
Absorbs a lot of moisture, dries quickly and feels cool. Linen becomes softer the longer you use it.

Where you will find it
On the cool side of the Atelier H35, Atelier H24 and Charme, and in the Sense, Comfort Collection, Top Natural and Top Platinum.

Care
Air out regularly and follow the washing instructions on the cover or topper.

Natural latex

Natural latex

The heart of Charme: a 100% natural latex core.

Origin
The milky sap of the rubber tree. The sap is tapped from the bark, after which the tree remains alive and produces new sap for years. It is then foamed and vulcanized into a resilient core.

What it does
Springs back immediately and supports every part of your body. The open structure allows air to pass through.

Where to find it
The Charme (18 cm natural latex) and the Medy Latex cushions.

Good to know
Do you have a latex allergy? Then consult your dealer or doctor before making a choice.

Cashmere

Cashmere

Luxury on the warmer side of the Platinum Collection.

Origin
The soft undercoat of the cashmere goat. In the Sense and the Virtus, it is incorporated into a stretch fabric with cashmere.

What it does
Feels very soft and comfortable and retains heat well.

Where you find it
The warm side of the Sense and the Virtus (Platinum Collection).

Honest about what else is in it

A mattress cannot be made entirely of natural fibers. The springs are made of steel, and for support and a long lifespan we also use foams, such as memory and comfort foam, and technical fabrics such as AirTech on the cool side of many models.

In the Atelier H35 and Atelier H24, a large part of that foam has been replaced with Green Memory and Green Foam, made with polyols from plants instead of petroleum.

Are you looking for the most natural model? Then choose the Charme: a core of 100% natural latex, filled with camel wool and pure linen, in a cover of viscose, a fiber made from wood cellulose.
